Heather Wynne is a designer, maker, and educator specializing in textile-based products and projects. A native of Shelburne, she trained in Fashion Design at the Massachusetts College of Art and in Visual Arts Education at Lesley University. Heather creates artful and useful objects from her studio in Shelburne Falls, MA, where she lives with her husband and young daughter.
I strive for the objects I create to contain the joy I feel in making them, to be imbued with beauty and purpose. I’m drawn towards a combination of bright and cheerful textiles – colors and patterns that sing from the threads, and strong, repurposed materials that hold the experiences of other lives before. I’m filled with gratitude for the amazing opportunities life gives us to create and connect, to find joy in possibility and questioning, to orchestrate with our minds and our hands, and to support and inspire each other.
