Amy Satterfield-LeBeau

Amy has been studying basketry for fifteen years. Her father first introduced her to basket making, by sending her to her first workshop to learn to make a market basket. She has been taking classes and exploring basketry ever since. Amy has concentrated on learning many distinctive styles of baskets that will be used in the garden and in the home. She enjoys experimenting with adding color to her baskets to make them both beautiful to look at as well as sturdy and functional to use. Amy got her start in teaching in 2019. She loves to see the look of accomplishment in a student’s eyes when they finish a basket and to see how proud they are of themselves.
