Open to both beginners and students who have already taken the class. For advanced learners I will help guide them through illuminated letter projects of their own choosing using gold and color while also introducing samples of both modern and historical illuminated letterforms for inspiration. For beginners, this class will follow more or less the learning sequence of last term where we focused on completing a letter from a specific historical model.
Students who take Gothic Calligraphy in the fall semester are allowed to preregister for Illuminated Letter for the spring semester. Note that this may limit the number of openings available for this class.
