- Dates: Monday, 9:00-11:00am, 10 Weeks
- Tuition: $80
- Instructor: Margot Glass
This workshop is designed for the beginning drawing student (no prior drawing experience necessary) who is looking for a fun, relaxed, and supportive environment to build observation and drafting skills and to feel more confident in his or her artistic abilities.
The 10 week course will act as an introduction to contour line, composition, value, color, perspective, proportion, figure drawing, and portraiture. Weekly projects will look to a variety of subject matter for inspiration (including still life, photographs, models, and more) and will also introduce students to a variety of drawing media and working methods.
NOTE ABOUT NECESSARY COVID CHANGES TO CLASS PLANS – Spring 2021 Semester
To My Drawing, Color and Ink Wash & Watercolor Students,
Due to the necessary Covid accommodations required to make our classroom experience safe for all, there are two changes in place for our lesson planning:
1: To avoid having high touch/shared objects in class, I will give students a schedule of lesson topics and possible extra materials to bring to class each week.
2: There will not be a central shared still life set up in our Ink Wash & Watercolor and Drawing classes due to social distancing seating changes, but we will work around this issue with students bringing their own subject matter. There will be space for a student to set up their own still life on their work table, or to bring a photograph to work from if they prefer.
Thank you for supporting our efforts to make these adjustments for the safety of the community.
