Drawing and Painting Complex Roots and Their Bulbs

  • Dates: Friday, March 7 and 21 (2 Weeks), 10:00am-3:30pm
  • Tuition: $45
  • Instructor: Beverly Duncan

Prerequisite:  To be eligible to take this workshop, you must have previously taken a class with Beverly Duncan.

Bulbs of the season, including but not limited to snow drops, tulips, grape hyacinths and daffodils, offer us the challenge of drawing and painting the intertwining layers of complex root systems and the bulb or corm that supports the roots.

With specimens on hand, we will follow the practices of accurate drawing, interesting composition, and bringing to color. We will review botanical nomenclature, color mixing, and painting techniques as individuals work at their own pace.

The workshop hours include a half-hour lunch break.
