Felted Satchel and Zipper Pouch

  • Dates: Friday, February 28 (1 Day), 9:00am-5:00pm
  • Tuition: $45
  • Instructor: Talia Lefton

Felt is a durable, non-woven textile that is made by agitating layers of wool fibers in warm, soapy water. Working around a resist, you will learn how to make a seamless felted bag with attached rings for a crossbody strap to clip onto, as well as a smaller wallet or pouch with a zipper. You will be able to incorporate decorative imagery or motifs into your bag design during the felting process. Wet felting can be laborious, so we will also discuss how to pause and restart a felting project. At the end of this workshop you will have a unique bag that you can take wherever you want to go.
