Jessa has been quilting since she was a child, learning to sew patchwork blankets for her dolls from fabric and batting scraps on her grandmother’s sewing machine. While the size of her projects might have changed since then, her joy for constructing beautiful and highly technical quilts has not. Her decades of experience have given her expertise in economy quilting, sustainable quilting practices, and both modern and traditional pattern work.
Jessa is co-president of the Northampton Modern Quilt Guild and owns Hoop & Bee, a longarming and quilting studio in Easthampton, MA. She is dedicated to teaching at all levels of skill to promote access and inclusivity in this craft and to create a warm and welcoming environment for all members of or newcomers to the quilting and fiber arts community.
